While Android handsets have been utilising larger displays for many years now, 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch displays are still relatively new for iPhone users.

Several key details of the iPhone 8 have been leaked through a developer code ever since Apple released firmware for the HomePod speaker, a device not due to launch until December. The iPhone 7, while a lovely smartphone, left many Apple users unimpressed.

With the iPhone 8 set to have an all-screen front, this means that a small section at the bottom may not be useable for apps, web browsing and other functionality.

KAZINFORM Independent developer Steve Troughton-Smith has discovered the principle of the virtual Home button from the accidentally-released HomePod firmware, he said on Twitter. According to Kuo's latest research note, the iPhone 8 will be announced in September alongside the iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus.

Last week, he first suggested the new device will likely feature facial expression detection after uncovering a potential "attention detection" feature in the code.

New products expected to launch in September include the iPhone 7s, 7s Plus and iPhone 8, with price points reaching between $900 and $1,100. While the iPhone 7 is an evolution of an already good design, the iPhone 8 is the better-looking phone to my eyes.

Tipster Benjamin Geskin has shared photos of the dummy units of the iPhone 8 dipped in Copper Gold.

As a result, he warned iPhone 8 'will not be cheap'. Expected to feature a bezel-less screen, wireless charging and no buttons, it will bring so many bits of technology we've been waiting for Apple to implement.

Because it doesn't have any bezels, the iPhone 8 has a screen similar to that of the iPhone 7 Plus, despite being only slightly bigger than the normal iPhone 7.
