Instagram rolls out Dark Mode across iOS and Android

Microsoft To Do gains dark theme support on iOS 13 and iPadOS

Following recent moves from Gmail, WhatsApp, Twitter and Pinterest, Instagram launched its new dark mode feature Tuesday for iOS 13 and Android 10 devices.

Once you've used any of these three approaches, Instagram will automatically switch to dark mode too. Turning Night mode on will enable the dark theme in the Google Play Store and switching it off will revert to a light theme.

While it took months, or even years to see adoption for various features and design language changes, support for dark theme in Android 10 has been moving along at an incredible rate. Just to be clear, we're talking about the stable Instagram app, not a beta version or anything of the sort. But Facebook is testing it according to multiple reports.

We yearned for the day and it has finally arrived: Instagram for iOS now offers a dark mode.

Alternatively, you can ask Siri to enable dark mode by uttering the magic phrase "Hey Siri, turn on/off the dark mode".

Instagram has officially rolled out its anticipated "dark mode" to the masses. "Office gets easier to look at with support for iOS 13's Dark Mode".

The APK is signed by Google and upgrades your existing app. On some displays, black pixels require no power at all.

Instagram is rolling out a dark mode option, the latest major app to latch onto the eye-strain-reducing, battery-saving, chic-looking trend that's sweeping the globe.
