Hootie & the Blowfish to kick off 2019 tour with Virginia Beach stop

Tickets for the show go on sale Friday and will cost between $51 and $90.
The Group Therapy Tour, which will feature the Barenaked Ladies as opening act, will make 44 stops around North America, starting in Virginia Beach, Virginia on May 30. The Barenaked Ladies are known for hits such as "One Week", "Pinch Me" and the theme to the CBS sitcom "The Big Bang Theory".
Hootie & the Blowfish said they hope to have a single out in early 2019, with an album out in the middle of the year. Tickets for this show will be available at Giant Center Box Office.
In addition to the tour, band members Mark Bryan, Dean Felber, Darius Rucker and Jim "Soni" Sonefeld have also signed a record deal with UMG Nashville and will release new music in 2019. "For the first time in almost 20 years we'll be coming back to Columbia, South Carolina where it all began", before Rucker interjects, "And we're ready to rock".
Hootie & the Blowfish with special guests Barenaked Ladies will play Colonial Life Arena on Friday, Sept. 13.
Hootie & The Blowfish are returning to full-time touring for the first time in a decade, and the band announced a Cincinnati tour date. The album featured the band's three most famous songs, "Hold My Hand", "Let Her Cry", and "Only Wanna Be With You".
