Hood hopes to be ready for Game 1 after hyperextending knee

Portland has finally broken through in the Western Conference, behind Lillard and McCollum. The public betting for the contest has 58 percent going on the Nuggets as the home favorite. The Blazers are only shooting 40.3 percent overall, including 1-of-19 from beyond the arc.
Back in July, Durant made an appearance on CJ McCollum's "Pull Up" Podcast and talked about the upcoming season. CJ McCollum drains the pull-up to push Portland's advantage back to three. Thompson erupted for 21 points for the Warriors in the first half to keep them in it with Curry going scoreless before Curry atoned for his poor showing with 33 points of his own in the second half including 23 in the fourth quarter. Jamal Murray attacked and got fouled, sinking both free throws to make it 92-87 Portland with 3:09 left in the game.
None bigger than when his crucial chase-down block with 4:44 left and the Trail Blazers leading 87-83. Out of the stoppage in play, Evan Turner will go to the free throw line with a chance to extend Portland's lead. Portland is 0-of-10 from 3-point range through the first 15 minutes of Game 7.
While Lillard shot just 3-of-17 in Game 7 and had a mostly inefficient series, McCollum helped carry the load and was especially productive down the stretch.
After the game, Hood told reporters he would be "day-by-day" with the injury: "We'll see how it feels tomorrow and the next day". Also worth noting, Zach Collins picked up his fifth foul on Craig's bucket. Appearing on the podcast of Trail Blazers guard CJ McCollum, Durant scoffed at the notion that Portland was a legitimate National Basketball Association contender.
He's averaging over 34 points per game on better than 50-40-90 shooting while also at times guarding the other team's best player.
Nikola Jokic is already up to eight points and Gary Harris has chipped in seven.
For the first time in their careers, brothers Steph and Seth Curry will face off in a playoff series.
Following an offensive foul on Denver'sNikola Jokic, Collins fell toward Barton's knees with 6:16 remaining in Thursday's Game 6.
