Here's The Differences Between Motorola's Four New Moto G7 Android Phones
Feb 09 2019
The Mot G series is a very popular series and has garnered quite a sizeable number of lower followers for the brand.
The main difference between the G7 and G7 Power aside from the latter's much larger battery are the G7 Power's single rear camera and lower-res screen. This not only goes for the specifications, but also the design.
The new moto g7 power will be released in the USA starting this spring with subsequent availability at T-Mobile, Metro by T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless, Cricket Wireless (moto g7 supra), Consumer Cellular, Republic Wireless, Ting and Xfinity Mobile, and will be universally unlocked at Best Buy, B&H Photo, Walmart and on Amazon.com. This one has a similar camera configuration as the G7 Power and gets the power from a 3000mAh battery. These phones were the Samsung Galaxy M10 and Galaxy M20, and they come with an affordable price tag thus making them the flawless contender against Moto's G7 line-up.
The next phone is the $249 G7 Power, may not offer the same level of premium upgrades as the G7, but it does offer an intriguing feature that its pricier counterpart doesn't: a massive 5,000mAh battery that Motorola promises should last for up to three days, besting the 3,000mAh battery in the G7 by a considerable amount - it also supports Motorola's TurboPower charging.
Performance is dialed down with 2GB RAM but this should still be sufficient for its intended user base. It is followed by the G7 Power and its 3GB of RAM, while the Moto G7 and G7 Plus both come with 4GB of RAM. The display has a regular rectangular notch instead of the teardrop notch present on the G7 and G7 Plus.
Unfortunately, the G7 Plus won't be coming to the USA, but the other models will arrive in the spring. In a short while after the official launch, Motorola will make the G7 Play available on Boost Mobile, Virgin Mobile, U.S. Cellular, Republic Wireless and Ting. This is in contrast to the Moto G7 Power which comes powered by a 5,000 mAh capacity battery. The 3000 mAh battery should easily get you through a day. Unfortunately, that is where it all ends as the rest of its specs don't really tickle. The storage option is still a 32GB expandable storage only. The handset features a 6.2-inch display with a resolution of 720×1520 pixels.
The Play features a single 13MP camera on the back (f/2.0, 1.12µm) and an 8MP selfie camera with dedicated LED flash. Lastly, there's the $199 G7 Play, the smallest and cheapest model in the 2019 Moto G lineup.
Motorola'sMoto G series of phones are regularly praised for being solid, affordable Android devices, so it's good to see that one of the Moto G7 models will be making its way to T-Mobile and Metro. The Moto G7 may turn out as the star of this series as it offers the best balance of price to performance in the series.
Though each of the models has a software-powered portrait mode, the G7 should perform better thanks to its secondary depth-sensing camera. It features a 6.2-inch Full HD+ display with a tear-drop style notch and a resolution of 2270x1080 pixels.
The new family consists of the G7 Play, the G7 Power, G7 Plus, and the G7.
These include the increasingly ubiquitous cinemagraph and spot color (everything in black and white but a spot of color), but also interesting modes like hyperlapse, a time lapse function that lets you walk around and composes a fluid, sped-up video using post-capture stabilization.
The Moto G7 Power is the battery focused smartphone of the quartet, with a 5,000mAh battery coupled with Motorola's Turbo Charging capabilities. The phone is available stating immediately in Brazil and Mexico; Latin America, Europe, and Asia Pacific will pick the phone up over the coming weeks. As of now, the company has not revealed when exactly these fourMotorola phones will arrive in India. As such, I'm excited to try out the newer and likely even better Moto G7.
The display is the same size but resolution drops down a smidge to 1,520 x 720 pixels. Like the other two G7 models, the phone is powered by the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 chipset and it ships with Android 9 Pie.
