The psychological benchmark for diagnosing mental health conditions, the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5), now lists internet gaming as a condition of further study. The health officials are adding this new addition of video games as a disorder to help clinicians to determine if someone's gaming habits are an addiction and may need treatment.
