Hazard hopeful over £100m Real Madrid move

Trent Alexander Arnold is expected to return to full training this week

Eden Hazard has been one of the most important players in the first-team squad at Chelsea ever since he made his way to Stamford Bridge from Lille in the summer of 2012.

Their move instead for Blues goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois effectively ended any chance of snaring Hazard too.

A quote from Hazard recently hit the headlines, with the attacker telling French TV station RMC: "I know what I am going to do".

"Hazard wants to go to Real Madrid - it is his dream", Balague told Cadena Cope radio. However, on paper, Neymar is the far better player compared to Hazard.

Manchester United and Manchester City are both linked with Fiorentina forward Federico Chiesa, who has also attracted interest from Inter, Juventus, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid.

While PSG believe it will be tough to take Kante from Chelsea, they are convinced it is not impossible and a deal could be done.

Although no deal materialised, the 28-year-old knuckled down and has been in impressive for Chelsea despite their indifferent season under Maurizio Sarri, registering 12 goals and 10 assists in 24 Premier League games.

Meanwhile, Express Sport understands Willian has caught the eye of PSG.

Like Hazard, Willian's contract expires in the summer of 2020 and could feasibly leave for free if he is not handed a new contract by then.

He has given many hints that he will be moving at the end of the season.

Madrid have been interested in signing Hazard since late 2016 and it is expected that Los Blancos will have to pay over £100 million ($130m) to complete a deal.
