Giannis, Harden unanimous selections in All-NBA First Team

Giannis Antetokounmpo And James Harden Headline The 2019 All-NBA Teams

Golden State Warriors guard Klay Thompson wasn't selected to an all-NBA team, making him ineligible to sign a five-year, $221 million supermax contract this summer in free agency.

"Whatever. I'd rather win a championship than be third-team All-NBA".

Voters selected two guards, two forwards and one center for each team, choosing players at the position they play regularly.

One of the biggest winners of the All-NBA teams being released on Thursday was Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo also received 500 points. Beal set per game career-highs in almost all major statistical categories, including minutes, rebounds, assists, steals, blocks, and points.

LeBron James ended up on the third team, marking the first time he's made an All-NBA squad that isn't the first or second team.

The All-NBA teams were unveiled on Thursday and Klay Thompson was nowhere to be found. Green, however, received no votes in what was generally regarded as a down season for him until he re-energized the Warriors in the postseason.

Walker was the final selection but all that matters is that he made it.

Portland Trail Blazers star Damian Lillard is now supermax eligible after being named to second team All-NBA.

Thompson was adamant that he was among the six best guards in the league at the moment, but did not want to continue talking about him missing out on the All-NBA selection.

With career highs of 2,067 points and 551 assists, Lillard became the first player in franchise history to record at least 2,000 points and 500 assists in a season. The 15th All-NBA nod also tied James with Bryant, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Tim Duncan for the most in league history. Jokic and Walker are the two first time members of an All-NBA team. That means he wouldn't be able to catch Bryant and James' longevity mark until 2028. Joining Lillard on the second team are the Celtics' Kyrie Irving, the Raptors' Kawhi Leonard, the Warriors' Kevin Durant and the 76ers' Joel Embiid.

Westbrook earned his Third Team selection with 44 points and Walker had 39 points.
