A new teaser for the final season suggests there’s a bloodbath

Cape Town - A teaser trailer for the final season of Game of Thrones has been released.

Earlier in the week Vladimir Furdik, the actor who plays the Night King, dished details about the show's sure-to-be epic final battle to the Hungarian website Sorozat Wiki.

Next, we see the wolf, representing the forces of Winterfell frozen solid, and then a Targaryen dragon. "April 2019". One of the books from which the television series is based is called A Song Of Ice And Fire.

In mid November, HBO finally revealed the release date for the final season. There are still two fire dragons to one ice dragon at this point though, so that inevitable clash is sure to happen, possibly in favor of the fire.

HBO unveiled the trailer at the São Paulo's Comic Con today and it's enough to get fans ready for winter to come around more than ever. Disappointingly, the video doesn't actually contain any new footage. The season 8 will premiere on April 2019.

Most notably, the lion of Lannister burns up, in an image that evokes the fiery "Loot Train Battle" last season.

The short teaser ends with fire and ice meeting at the table's center to forge a wall in the middle.

Game of Thrones, which has won multiple Emmy awards, is HBO's biggest hit ever with some 30 million viewers in the United States and an army of devoted fans worldwide.
