Frenkie de Jong: I don't have a deal with PSG

"You have the guys from Barcelona, the guys from Manchester City".

De Jong, 21, had been lined up by Guardiola as the ideal replacement for Fernandinho at the base of Manchester City's midfield, with the Brazilian turning 34 before the end of the season.

The Frenchman said that his quality passes that break lines make him a very useful player.

"Frenkie is guaranteed to stay with Ajax until the summer and I cannot say anything about it".

De Telegraaf claimed representatives of PSG and Ajax had met in Amsterdam to discuss De Jong, with a fee of €75million said to be the agreed price.

"Maybe I'll stay for another year, maybe I'll leave, but I am not sure".

It's no secret that Barcelona have been chasing Frenkie de Jong for some time as the Dutchman has been openly talked about at the club. I don't pay attention to it.

In an interview with The Guardian on Thursday, De Jong admitted he is uncertain over where his future lies.

Ajax midfielder Frenkie de Jong could be heading for Paris Saint-Germain next summer because the club is willing to pay the required €75m for the 21-year-old, the Telegraaf reported on Friday.

Expounding on the transfer speculation, in particular the stories surrounding a big-money bid from Ligue 1 champions PSG, he added: "It's an issue since the start of the season".

"He is a player who really impressed me during our two matches with the Netherlands", Mbappe told France Football. The Paris club will be conscious of the fact they could lose Rabiot to Barcelona, and would see De Jong as a fitting replacement. I said to him as much, because he would be enormous for us.
