Former mistress claims first encounter was not consensual in investigative report

Greitens calls report 'political witch hunt,' House Speaker defends report

The investigative committee of Missouri lawmakers, including five Republicans and two Democrats, said they found the woman to be a credible witness and corroborated her testimony with a number of other witnesses, none of whom are named in the report.

Eric Greitens initiated a physically aggressive unwanted sexual encounter with his hairdresser and threatened to distribute a partially nude photo of her if she spoke about it, according to testimony from the woman released Wednesday by a House investigatory committee.

The court filing says the woman also testified that she doesn't know if her belief that he had a phone was the result of a dream. The conduct the Report details is certainly impeachable, in my judgment, and the House is well within its rights to proceed on that front.

"I will continue to serve the people of Missouri as their governor and work for you everyday", Greitens said.

Greitens has said that he will not resign.

But once in his basement, Greitens taped her hands to pull-up rings, blindfolded her, started kissing her, ripped open the shirt and pulled down her trousers, the woman testified.

The judge said his gag order would not preclude the parties from making statements about the general nature of the case, schedules or the substance of court rulings that he had entered into the public record.

"I felt as though that would allow me to leave", the woman's testimony reads.

"I just spit it out". When she met with him in June, the woman alleged, Greitens slapped her upon learning she had sex with her estranged husband. The woman testified that she then heard a click, like of a cellphone picture, and saw a flash.

The report, which includes disturbing and graphic details, describes a 2015 sexual encounter between Greitens and a woman who worked as his hairdresser in which he also blindfolded her, pulled her trousers and ripped her shirt without her consent, claimed to have taken a photo, and threatened to release the photo if she told anyone about the encounter.

The former mistress said she tried to get out of the room but Greitens pulled her back in and attempted to have oral sex with her.

She told lawmakers that the assault followed another incident earlier that same month, in which Greitens moved his hand all the way up her leg "to her crotch" without her consent while she was cutting his hair. While secretly recording the conversation, the husband said, "You've been half-raped and blackmailed" and she agreed.

After a friend tipped off Greitens' wife to the affair, the hairstylist testified that she told him she wanted to end their relationship.

With so much swirling around Greitens personally, Republican legislative leaders have issued assurances that they will continue with business as usual despite potential turmoil in the governor's office.

It "actually harm, and I do know that I actually was really scared and sad when that occurred", she talked about.
