While Disney and Lucasfilm have already chose to revisit one beloved character from the "Star Wars" saga for its series of anthology movies with a young Han Solo film, actor Mark Hamill has shared his thoughts on whether a Luke Skywalker movie could also happen, AceShowbiz says. Although the model display was only a preview, a more detailed presentation on this new project is set to for Saturday, during the Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Hall D23. The model is being shown off at the 2017 D23 Expo in Anaheim, California, so if you're in the neighborhood you'll have a chance to check it out in person from now until July 16th.

All the magic and excitement of the past, present, and future of Disney entertainment comes together under one roof when D23: The Official Disney Fan Club presents D23 Expo. "And your role inside of that will be defined by how you choose", Scott Mallwitz, ‎executive creative director at Walt Disney Imagineering, told The Orange County Register. These Star Wars lands don't have names yet, but hopefully now that their physical appearance has seemingly been nailed down, we'll get a name soon. Disney Parks Blog covers two of the signature attractions.

Han Solo's beloved Millennium Falcon is still "the fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy" and one of the most iconic ships in cinematic history. The second attraction takes guests into the heat of a battle between the First Order and the Resistance. Though it's just a glimpse at a model, it's still a really really cool model. So its beyond an honour and a joy to become a Disney Legend because everybody knows I love Disney, Disneyland, Disney World, Disney movies, Disney toys and the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique! They used these areas to study architecture, culture, weather, and so on. In addition to Iden, players will also encounter and play as other iconic Star Wars heroes and villains like Luke Skywalker and Kylo Ren during the campaign. What does that animal smell like?

If you thought theme parks were dying, the news earlier this year that Nintendo is teaming with Universal Parks & Resorts on its own real-world Mario wonderland might have changed your mind.
