'Fast and Furious 9' Moved Back a Year to 2020

Universal is pushing back the release of upcoming action sequel "Fast and Furious 9" one year to Easter weekend on April 10, 2020.

Ninth edition of The Fast & Furious franchisee, starring some of the most sought after Hollywood actors has finally got its new release date. The original release date for the next instalment in the super-popular franchise was set for April 19, 2019 Stateside, but will now debut on Friday, April 10, 2020.

Following the release of Fate of the Furious, Universal began plotting a Fast and Furious spin-off with Johnson and Jason Statham. No Shaw, just Hobbs. It's too bad Tyrese, the "passionate film critic", disagrees.

The scathing post comes just one month after Gibson previously appealed to Johnson on Instagram regarding the spinoff speculation, and urged him not to turn his back on the "Fast" family. And that was on top of comments from Johnson about a solo Hobbs movie from years ago.

This isn't the first time Gibson has used his Instagram to attack his co-star.

"I have never and will never have a problem with this major movie star he's my brother". "I don't wanna hear from you until you remember what we talked about". As Tyrese notes in his Instagram post: "DJ even if they call I will not be deleting this post".

While Johnson was already an established actor when he joined the Fast and Furious franchise, there's no doubt that the series has helped him become an worldwide box office superstar.
