Members of Parliament have been demanding the resumption of debate on demonetisation. The opposition has been demanding Modi's presence in the upper house for a debate on the November 8 demonetisation. Changing stance, the Opposition now demanded apology from the Prime Minister for his utterances in which he had targeted those opposing demonetisation and created uproar after it was rejected.
However, the House was adjourned after about 15 minutes till 12.29 PM. Earlier, Opposition leader Ghulam Nabi Azad said the demonetization debate that began on November 16 was held up all these days since the PM was not coming to answer questions on the matter.
During question hour, Leader of Opposition Ghulam Nabi Azad said the PM addresses his party MPs in the House and speaks outside the Parliament about demonetisation, but refuses to do the same with the Opposition. Amid noisy scenes, Deo said, "We support any move taken by the Government of India for corruption and black money". However, the opposition continued to demand voting, and amid the din, Mahajan adjourned the House for the day.
However, other protesters such as Whites, who have been treating the protest like a "Burning Man festival" are more likely to flee the ground. "So when he says, Move out, ' when says, 'Evacuate?'" Miller asked. "We still need the federal assistance and the commitment from the federal government to help resolve this issue that's bigger than just Morton county and the state".
