El Camino star Robert Forster dead at 78 after battle with cancer

Actor Robert Forster, known for his Oscar-nominated performance in Quentin Tarantino's "Jackie Brown", has died at age 78, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

As per reports, the 'Jackie Brown' actor passed away after a brief battle with brain cancer on Friday (October 12) at his home in Los Angeles.

Robert also had starring and guest roles on TV shows like the "Twin Peaks" reboot, "Alcatraz" and, of course, "Breaking Bad".

Besides El Camino, Forster completed two additional projects in 2019: Steven Spielberg's upcoming web television series Amazing Stories and Werewolf. "A lovely man and a consummate actor".

On Saturday, El Camino star Aaron Paul took to Instagram to remember the actor.

"So when I asked him about it, he said, 'Yes, it's Max Cherry that I wrote for you.' That's when I said to him, 'I'm sure they're not going to let you hire me'".

Forster is survived by his third wife, Evie, and his children Elizabeth, Kathrine, Maeghen, and Robert. "Every time it reached a lower level I thought I could tolerate, it dropped some more, and then some more". "He gave me a career back and the last 14 years have been fabulous". Actors, directors, and producers across Hollywood were saddened by the news of Forster's passing and shared their condolences on social media.

"I've done a lot of genre pictures in my career.I've always liked them", Forster told the Bleecker Street blog upon the release of 2018's indie drama What They Had. A truly class act/ Actor!
