'We can not thank Disney enough for helping us to fulfil our patients wish, we totally appreciate that they have had to move mountains to make this happen'.

On Thanksgiving, the patient was able to see "Star Wars: "The Rise of Skywalker when ".a very nice man named Jonathan from Disney turned up.with a laptop that had a very important movie on it", Rowans Hospice said.

Disney has granted a dying "Stars Wars" fan's wish to watch the new movie in the franchise, "Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker", with his young son ahead of its release date, after responding to an appeal from the hospice where he is being treated.

'If you know ANYBODY who might be able to make it happen, please share with them. Everyone we spoke to at @Disney were as eager to make this happen as we were. "May the force be with you and with us all!" he tweeted. The Marketing manager Julie Strutt said, "We are thankful to all the staff at Disney who have given up special time with their families to offer something special during American Thanksgiving".

As they say, May the force be with you!

Star Wars actor Mark Hamill, who played Luke Skywalker had also asked for help for the man, tweeting: "Contact @Disney".

With that level of demand, it should come as no surprise that leaks and even the smallest tidbits of new revelations are being pounced on to get a sense of what's to come (given that LucasFilm has historically tried to operate as a black box when it comes to spoilers about new Star Wars flicks, going to great lengths to preserve their secrets).

Thanking Disney for its help, she said: "We totally appreciate that they have had to move mountains to make this happen!" Then to top it all, I thought I wasn't going to see the film I have been waiting to see since 1977.

"The Rise of Skywalker", the Star Wars franchise's ninth and final installment, premieres on December 19 in the United Kingdom, and the following day in U.S. theaters.

'I still can't believe it.

'The only way I can describe this to you is to say that this must be what it feels like to be told you have won £1 million'.

"The response from everyone, including the Star Wars community, has been absolutely phenomenal".
