Darrelle Revis says Tom Brady 'suckered in' Jets defense

The NFL maintains that Brady - who is off to a 6-0 start with the Patriots this season - participated in a "scheme" to deflate footballs prior to the 2014 AFC championship game to gain an unfair advantage and avoid detection by officials.

Don't count New England Patriots player rep Matthew Slater as a supporter of Thursday night football. They played without rookie quarterback Marcus Mariota, who was replaced by Zach Mettenberger - intercepted by safety Robenson Therezie with 1:31 left to seal the victory. "We knew what this game meant in terms of being on top in the division".

On fourth down from the 1, Brady jumped over the line on a keeper to make it 10-10. With the way Brady spread the ball around to a handful of different receivers, it was almost impossible for the Jets to stop one particular guy.

Brandon Marshall recovered an onside kick that gave the New York Jets a chance against the New England Patriots.

"It's all right. I can handle it, " he said. "I felt like the key play was that third-and-17 where Edelman slipped into the middle of the field and made a big play".

"It's tough for something like that to happen on the first play, real tough, but I was able to work through and finish the game", Ivory said. "You have to take your hats off to them".

Fitzpatrick completed 22 of 39 passes for 295 yards and 2 touchdowns.

"It struck at the heart of the game's integrity and the public's confidence in the NFL's on-field product", the brief says.

"There are no statements when you lose, " he said. "You've got to give (the Patriots' defense) credit". Belichick said they didn't use him correctly at the end of his first stint and that has been the biggest difference.

And with that, the Jets were already turning their focus on their next opponent: the Oakland Raiders, who are 3-3 after a 37-29 victory at San Diego.

"Probably more us", he said.

"I think winning is the fun part and being a part of this organization has been - there's no place I'd rather play", Brady said.

Out of just nine rushes in total, Brady ran four times including a 1-yard leaping sneak on a fourth down in the second quarter. But after a short pass from Ryan Fitzpatrick left the Jets 37 yards from the tying score, a false-start penalty on Brandon Marshall ended the game.

Bowles also took heat for his clock management and not using any of the Jets' timeouts during the Patriots' final touchdown drive. "Had we stopped them at any shorter time when we could have used a timeout, we would have used it".

The Jets also had no answer for Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski, who had 11 catches for 108 yards and a touchdown. Brady also had an 11-yard scramble on a third-and-10, and with 15 rushing yards he was the Patriots' leading runner for the first time in his career.

Ivory finished with 41 yards on 17 carries (2.4 avg) and acknowledged after the game that his hamstring injury affected him when it came to "getting around the edge".

"Everybody was kind of disappointed, " Colon said. "I don't organize these types of things". "The one thing we can't do is let this resonate".

Certainly not against the Raiders, who turned two interceptions of Philip Rivers into 10 points on Sunday against San Diego and got three TD passes from Derek Carr.

"We have to learn from our mistakes and clean up the little things, but if we linger on this game, then we're going to get beat next week, " Bowles said. "Oakland played a heck of a ballgame (Sunday)".
