Daniel James allowed by Wales to give his medical at Manchester United today ahead of £15 million move.

"Swansea City can confirm the club has agreed transfer terms with Manchester United for winger Daniel James", the club said on their official website.

'Daniel has successfully completed a medical at the Aon Training Complex.

James has won two caps for the Red Dragons under Giggs this year since switching his iternational allegiance from England.

The Premier League side also announced that they will release more details of the signing once the worldwide transfer window opens next week.

"As a manager you want all your players to be playing to a higher level as they can and their ability deserves", the United legend added. With James back in the global fold this week, after telling Ryan Giggs, the Wales manager, that he felt up to joining up with the squad, the wheels were set in motion for his transfer to go through.

The Mail also explains that the Old Trafford club "stepped up" their interest in James when it became increasingly clear than Borussia Dortmund starlet Jadon Sancho was a step too far.

Negotiations took a backseat while James mourned the sudden death of his father but talks have been rekindled in recent days and it looks like United are now on the verge of completing their first summer signing.
