Payne became an internet sensation recently when she posted a video on Facebook of herself enjoying and laughing at the Chewbacca mask.

"I'm quite un-athletic. So I feel like if I broke a record, I need a medal or something", she said.

She gets the growl, but James Corden doesn't until Abrams gets him to join in.

In addition, Good Morning America invited Payne for an interview and went for a ride with CBS talk show host James Corden and Star Wars: The Force Awakens director J.J. Abrams. "It's an excellent Chewbacca", before all three don the mask, which emits the character's signature howl.

If that wasn't cool enough, Corden also surprised Payne on "The Late Late Show" by relaying a message from the actor who actually plays Chewbacca in the "Star Wars" films, Peter Mayhew. "I love you, but this isn't for you".

"You know that doesn't sound anything like Chewbacca, right?"

"I've got to disagree". Abrams continues, before putting on his own Chewbacca mask and showing Payne how to do the ideal Wookiee impression.

Mrs. Payne purchased the toy Chewbacca mask for herself on a whim. While meeting with Corden on his widely popular late-night show is a treat in itself, that wasn't all that was in store for the Star Wars and Chewie fan.
