Capcom Announces That All Mega Man X Games Are Coming Back

Mega Man 11, Mega Man X Collection announced for Xbox One and PC

The new release will compile all eight Mega Man X games for Switch, PS4, Xbox One, and PC. To get a glimpse of what to expect in Mega Man 11 checkout the announcement trailer below.

Capcom promise that Mega Man 11 will retain the series' signature side-scrolling gameplay, but will now be presented in 2.5D, with hand drawn characters and environments.

Wait, what?! Capcom hosted a Mega Man anniversary stream earlier today, and it happened to drop a teensy little news nugget: Mega Man 11 is in production. In addition to Mega Man 11, Capcom announced that Mega Man Legacy Collection and Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 will also be coming to the Nintendo Switch sometime next year.

Notably, Mega Man's costume will change shape as he equips new weapons (not just its color). Are you looking forward to playing more Mega Man? It's unclear when they'll hit the console but it should be before Mega Man 11 releases. Will you buy the games if they are stand alone only? It's a great opportunity to play all the classic titles from Mega Man 1-10 in preparation for Mega Man 11. These games will now include a Rewind feature that will allow players to go back and correct past mistakes. This feature will also roll out to existing owners of the game on PlayStation® 4 system, Xbox One, and PC. Either way, though, it's the most love the series has gotten since X8 came out for the PS2 more than a decade ago.

We haven't seen a new Mega Man game in years, with his last "official" appearance being as a guest character in Super Smash Bros. for the Nintendo Wii U and 3DS.
