Some, like Royal Jordanian Airlines, tried to calm or even attract customers through humor, while others, such as Turkish Airlines, boasted about their in-flight entertainment. Security experts and other industry professionals have questioned the motives of this ban, however, asking whether it will actually make the USA safer from potential threats.

European Union to convene summit on April 29 to approve guidelines on Brexit

The EU's Brexit negotiator Michel Barnier is however not expected to actually start talks with London until mid to late May, shortening Britain's time to get a good deal before it leaves the EU in March 2019. Mass Moscow arrests an 'affront' to democracy, U.S. says

Grigory Okhotin, one of the founders of OVD Info, a human rights organisation that monitors detentions, said around 600 people had been detained in Moscow on Sunday. A defiant Navalny posted a selfie from court on Twitter: "The time will come when we will have them on trial (but honestly)", he wrote. In February Navalny was found guilty in a retrial of an embezzlement case that could mean he is not eligible to stand for president - though he insists he will not be forced out of the race.

Backed Syrian alliance eyes Raqqa after taking IS-held military airport

Meanwhile the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces, supported by the USA, are said to be closing in on Raqqa as well as the Tabqa dam. The London-based watchdog group said the USA ground forces came to help the SDF fighters to cut the road between Raqqa and the northern province of Aleppo, and to isolate Tabaqa from Raqqa city, and thus to tighten the noose on the IS militants in the two cities.
