To deal with the matter, the company has employed a food safety expert, altered its food handling practices and has begun testing produce prior to their shipment to stores.
In October and November, more than 50 people were sickened in nine states due to an E. coli outbreak traced to the chain. After a month and half of outbreak-free news, Chipotle believes that the Centers of Disease Control will soon call an end to the outbreak .
