The app is expected to be available for both iOS and Android by the end of March. Uber is moving beyond just lunch and will launch a full-blown food delivery service. Residents in each of these cities will be able to order breakfast, lunch or dinner, sans ride, from any of Uber's partner restaurants. What Uber lacks in experience, however, it may make up for in logistical technology.

The Illinois Department of Public Health is alerting the public to the potential of contracting Zika virus while traveling overseas. All of those diagnosed with Zika in the US were reportedly infected in countries overseas where Zika has begun circulating, health officials say.

SoCalGas says LA gas leak to be stopped by late February

Meanwhile, the leak, first reported on October 23, has emitted enough methane gas to dislocate around 4,500 families in the northwest San Fernando Valley - at the expense of SoCal Gas - while triggering a state of emergency declaration by California Governor Jerry Brown.
