You may or may not agree with placing Daniel Cormier in the conversations among the greatest of all time in the UFC, but after what took place on Saturday night at UFC 226, he has certainly earned the recognition.

Daniel Cormier shocked the mixed martial arts world tonight in Las Vegas by knocking out Stipe Miocic in the very first-round to claim the UFC's coveted heavyweight title. The only other fighter to do so is Conor McGregor, who has since been stripped of both belts. Dillashaw for the most wins in the history of the UFC's bantamweight division. He's a wrestler. He's an All-American.

Former lightweight champion Anthony Pettis also submitted Michael Chiesa in the second round with a triangle armbar from a bottom position.

It's expected that Daniel Cormier (21-1-1) vs. Brock Lesnar (5-3-1) for the heavyweight title will headline UFC's return to Madison Square Garden this November. Lesnar entered the Octagon, shoved Cormier and quickly provided an answer.

"It's the same, man, these guys are all the same", Cormier said "I approach them all the same way".

"I walked in the building and watched the heavyweight disaster from the beginning", Lesnar said. For only the third time in the UFC's 25-year history, a reigning champion will fight a reigning champion from another weight class at UFC 226. Miocic is a piece of s**t! "They can't go as hard as me".

Brock Lesnar is officially back in the UFC and he's getting a heavyweight title shot.

Lesnar then stepped into the Octagon and had to be restrained from attacking Cormier. He is a rare breed that made his way to the UFC roster with just one fight on his MMA resume, but quickly rose to the top of the heavyweight heap. He made his most recent trip to the cage at UFC 200, where he originally scored a victory over Mark Hunt.

The only times Cormier has even looked vulnerable were the two times he lost to Jones, though one was overturned to a no-contest because of a positive drug test. Lesnar spoke and was nodding with Dana White. Lesnar is now in the WWE where he is the WWE Universal Champion.
