BioWare's Anthem will release in February 2019

EA's E3 press conference on Saturday ended with a big, Anthem-loaded bang.

Fans can tune in to watch the EA Play conference on June 9 on the EA website, or you can catch all the action on Twitch and Youtube.

And while the Battlefield V trailer generated plenty of hype, it pales in comparison to the amount of hype surrounding EA's upcoming brand new title, Anthem. However, they claim your stories are individualized in a way that makes no two runs the same. There is no PvP mode and you can play the entire game by yourself, which should please those who get annoyed by Destiny's locked off content. Mark Darrah also seemed to hint that a public beta will occur. You can switch between these for any given mission, it's not a permanent choice.

The story features players living in a world that is unfinished. For some reason the deities abandoned their creation midway through and left their world-shaping tools behind.

As it revealed a year ago, BioWare reiterated that Anthem is an online multiplayer role-playing game that you can play solo or with friends. Instead, you'll buy everything that you want directly.

This story is just the beginning according to lead writer, Cathleen Rootsaert. "It gives us an opportunity to drop in an event that changes the game play for everyone". The Ranger is a general suit for up close and personal combat, the Colossus is heavier and has big weapons, and there is also the Interceptor and the Storm. General manager Casey Hudson says the door is still very much ajar. Additionally, players will be able to customize the various suits with cosmetic appearances and gear.

While javelins share similarities to traditional classes, players can swap between different javelin types since actual characters are just the pilots, called freelancers. Opening and closing the show with clips and gameplay footage, developers announced a release date of February 22, 2019, for the upcoming action RPG.
