Bigger, Pricier iPhone Expected at Apple Event Wednesday

However, GSMArena reports that the dual SIM functionality could be exclusive to China.
Apple on Wednesday introduced three new versions of the iPhone, including the premium Xs and Xs Max. A bigger version will be called the iPhone XS Max, which is about the size of the iPhone 8 Plus, though the 6.5-inch screen size is much bigger. While Xs will be an advanced version of the iPhone X, iPhone XC will be its low-priced version. Both phones have "Super Retina" displays with the highest pixel density of any iOS devices.
These features will be available to USA customers later this year, but Apple did not say when it would make it to the rest of the world.
Apple will start taking preorders for Xs and Xs Max Friday, and they will begin shipping a week later on September 21.
A second phone with a 14.7-centimetre OLED display, called iPhone XS, is similar to the iPhone X but with an improved processor. Two are performance cores that are up to 15 percent faster and use 40 percent less power. The remaining four are "efficiency" cores that will help keep background processes running smoothly. We'll likely see a new hardware design, but it won't be too different, according to photos obtained by 9to5Mac.
FaceTime was originally supposed to receive its biggest update ever, adding the ability for up to 32 people to video chat at the same time. The iPhone Xs, iPhone Xs Max, and iPhone Xr are undoubtedly "the most incredible smartphones ever created", as Tim Cook and his band of merry execs spent almost two hours explaining to us today.
Want a new iPhone or Android smartphone? Both the regular and the Max version have that same Dolby Vision and HDR10, as it were, and both have displays with a 60-percent greater dynamic range of colors than the standard iPhone X.
Apple also showed off a cheaper iPhone, called the iPhone XR.
You will be able to pre-order the handset from 19 October, with shipping a week later.
The sitemap file leak also allegedly revealed a new Apple Watch Series 4 model that will be available in wider 40 mm and 44 mm band sizes (existing Apple Watches boast band widths of either 38mm or 42mm) and come in space gray, silver, and gold aluminum color options. Apple says the release is its attempt to reach as many people as possible, and it is perhaps the most populist of the bunch. It retains the key advances of the first iPhone X - facial recognition and an edge-to-edge display - but is cheaper while being noticeably larger at 6.1 inches.
It's rumoured that Apple has ditched the home button on this tablet with this allowing the U.S. technology firm to push the display closer to the edge and reduce those bezels.
The XR sports Face ID support, and while it lacks 3D touch, it will sport a new Haptic Touch feature that will allow you to open select apps right from the home screen with a long press.
