Battlefield V Royale Mode Announced to Launch After October 19

Players complained that this wasn't historically accurate (even though many women did fight on the front lines of the war for certain countries) and that it broke the "immersion" that DICE promised for Battlefield V. Most of these arguments are flimsy covers for men who hate women.

He told us that games like Fortnite and PUBG are popular among DICE employees (as well as pretty much everyone else on the planet).

It's "Royale re-imagined for Battlefield" with destruction, teamplay and other "pillars" of Battlefield, and it'll come after launch.

Today, during EA Play 2018's lineup of game announcement, Battlefield V was confirmed, perhaps unsurprisingly, to have its own Battle Royale mode. Battlefield V will allow gamers to shape the sandbox of war.

He added that there is "lots of good energy" at DICE related to the new battle royale mode. The studio said it will have more on this subject later this year.

This is new territory for the Battlefield series, which has traditionally done team-based multiplayer where there is no lack of resources for players. Back in April we reported that both the latest Call of Duty and Battlefield games may feature a battle royale mode. Don't expect to hide from tanks in buildings, because they can just smash through them now.

It was reiterated that Battlefield V will not include a premium pass program that the previous installments offered, and its release date is set for October 19, 2018.
