Baltimore Ravens vs. Oakland Raiders: Prediction, preview, pick to win

Amari Cooper says he will “try to stay within the offense,” but that game plan might include a lot of him early

Oakland Raiders quarterback Derek Carr was ruled out against the Baltimore Ravens on Monday.

"Other things that they may add with him we have to be prepared for, and that is a little bit of a guessing game".

Last Sunday, Derek Carr took a hard blow to the back and ended up leaving the game with a fracture in his back. When Weddle saw Carr get injured in Week 4, he immediately texted the quarterback. Instead, he's practiced Thursday and Friday and is now listed as questionable.

Were Carr to return next week, it would be the best-case scenario after the injury threatened to keep him out of action into November.

I take a look at three key matchups you should be watching come game time.

Although there was a big fuss after running back Marshawn Lynch joining the Raiders it seems the veteran stills needs some time to make big plays this season.

Amerson is sadly dealing with another concussion this season. The reigning NFL Defensive Player of the Year recorded seven tackles and two sacks against the Broncos last week. Corners have had good luck with press coverage on Cooper, who appears to have a confidence problem and has not been physical enough to disengage and get free. Howard, released by the Raiders during the offseason, has stepped in as the starter on the right side and has plenty of practice and training camp experience working against Mack. Starting guard Gabe Jackson missed practice for the second straight day with a foot injury.

This encounter will see the basement team of the NFC West face the worst of the AFC South division as both teams look to find a glimmer of hope from their already devastating looking seasons. Amerson was cleared after going through the National Football League protocol and is expected to play, though he remains officially listed as questionable.

The Ravens lost running back Danny Woodhead back in Week 1 due to a hamstring injury.
