Arsenal’s problems on the road are inside the players’ minds, says Emery

Unai Emery

Unai Emery admits Arsenal need to turn around their troubling away form, and insists nobody is more critical of his performance than himself. I think the other players are well and will be OK for Saturday. We are with the possibility and opportunity to take the top four but we know it's not easy.

"One month ago we were in the same situation".

There were a number of superb performances on offer from some of the best attackers in the league, and we will take a brief look at three of them in this article.

He reported that Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Henrikh Mkhitaryan were back in contention after knee and foot injuries while Laurent Koscielny and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang had been ill but should be available.

However, Mkhitaryan returned to action for Arsenal's Under-23 side where he helped Freddie Ljungberg's side to a 3-0 lead over West Ham by half-time before the match was called off due to adverse weather conditions.

The same article states that Emery has been informed of his summer budget and the Arsenal manager is still hoping to bring in three new players.

Emery also added that loan signing Denis Suarez, who joined from Barcelona in the transfer window, has been improving in training as the Spanish midfielder continues to adapt to his new club.

"We thought he was not fit enough to play against Manchester City", explained Emery.

The first day last week was adaption to us and also with minutes against Manchester City.

'This week he worked Monday alone here with our coaches and also yesterday and today he's working with a different adaptation, better than last week. "But this week, after playing with the U23s and working with us, it is the first time I can think of him with us".

"Above all we must work hard, take a good feeling in training and then show it in the match".
