Arsenal misfit Perez set for West Ham move

Lucas Perez has been heavily linked with Sporting Lisbon

West Ham have been looking for a new striker to bolster their attacking options and now look set to land Perez on a permanent deal.

With the Baggies unable to offer Premier League football like West Ham, they would have to convince him to turn down a move to London.

Alfredo Pedulla states an agreement taking the Colombia worldwide to the London Stadium is set to be completed imminently, with Fiorentina looking to get a midfielder of their own in return (more on that shortly).

Edmilson Fernandes could be on his way to Italy as part of a deal taking Carlos Sanchez away from Fiorentina, as the Serie A side are keen on landing the Switzerland worldwide as makeweight in a deal - and have until the end of the month to find an agreement.

The 32-year-old midfielder, who has been capped 88 times by Colombia, started his career in Uruguay with River Plate Montevideo before heading to Europe to sign for French side Valenciennes.

Alfredo Pedulla reports that the two teams are both interested in signing the former Aston Villa midfielder as the end of the transfer window looms. After spending six years there, he would sign for Spanish team Elche but he only lasted a year at that side before signing for Aston Villa.

If Perez completed a move to the London Stadium, he would be West Ham's ninth signing of the summer.

Sanchez, who has over 80 caps for his country, spent past year on loan at Espanyol.

Arsenal have reportedly accepted an offer from Portuguese club, Sporting Lisbon for the transfer of their striker, Lucas Perez.
