Arrested For Kidnapping Teen, Assaulting Her For 29 Days

The suspects have been identified as Thomas Barker, 32, and Joshua Holby, 31, both of Carlos; and Steven Powers, 20, of Mankato.

Holby also assaulted the 15-year-old, as did Powers about two weeks into what the chief described as the victim's 'nightmare'.

It is understood Barker convinced Block to get into a vehicle. There, he restrained her with zip ties and repeatedly assaulted her and threatened her with weapons.

Barker shared a home with Holby, police said.

On Tuesday afternoon, Block was left alone for the first time.

Block finally got an opportunity to escape on September 5 while riding in the back of a pickup truck inside a zipped up duffle bag. The teen reportedly knocked on the doors of a few homes but she did not receive any answers. Wyffels said that during the 29 days of her kidnapping the men had transported Block to several different locations, including the foreclosed home the teenager had finally escaped from in Grant County. "They're all unbelievable people".

Three people have been arrested in connection to the month long disappearance of a teenage girl in Alexandria.

Police eventually tracked down the other two suspects after a state trooper spotted their vehicle outside a home. He said Jasmine lost her trousers and shoe when she was swimming across the lake.

Jasmine Block had been missing from her home in Alexandria since August 8.

Pastor Kevin Taylor, the youth pastor with Living Waters Church and Youth for Christ in Alexandria, was with Sarah Block when the mother and daughter were reunited. "I also ask to respect Jasmine myself and her sisters as we have been apart 4 weeks and it's been a lot so give space".

'The prayer vigil will still go on Friday to welcome her home.

A teenage girl from Alexandria is safe and with her family on Wednesday after going missing for about a month.

The girl's safe return came a day after an anonymous donor added $5,000 to a $2,000 reward for information leading to her safe return. Wyffles said Barker is an acquaintance of the teen's family.

A farmer who was asked for help by Block when he returned to his property requested to hide his identity and told WCCO, he left his work and returned home as he forgot something at home when he returned home he found Block standing outside his house, she asked him for help.
