Another train Accident: Ranchi Rajdhani Express Engine and coach derail

This is the fourth such derailment in less than a month.

The injured man, identified as Imam Hussain, was taken to Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Narayan Hospital in Daryaganj, Sharma added.

The Rajdhani Express was heading to the New Delhi Railway Station from Ranchi in Jharkhand. "All passengers are safe and no casualties have been reported", said Anshul Gupta, DRM, Northern Railways.

A high-speed passenger train derailed in the Indian capital Thursday, railway officials said.

Earlier in the day, seven coaches of Howrah-Jabalpur Shaktipunj Express skid off the railway track near Sonbhadra, Uttar Pradesh. However, no injuries were reported. In another incident on August 23, as 10 coaches of Kaifiyat Express train derailed after crashing into a dumper which strayed on to the tracks in Auraiya district, about 100 passengers were wounded. No one was injured in the accident and passengers were moved to remaining, undamaged coaches of the train and left the spot an hour after the mishap.

Similarly on August 23, over 80 people sustained injuries when Delhi-bound Kaifiyat Express derailed in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.

Newly appointed Railway Minister Piyush Goyal personally monitored the situation after the derailment of Shaktipunj Express.

More than 20 people were killed when 13 coaches of the Utkal Express jumped the rails in Uttar Pradesh on Aug 19.
