Android Q Car Crash Detection Feature Could Be Pixel Exclusive

Big tech companies and app developers have created transparent tracking services that will show you how much time you spend in certain apps.
Digital Wellbeing first arrived on Pixel smartphones, followed by Android One devices and later on to other devices. However, the r/GooglePixel subreddit has been flooded with users complaining that their Pixel smartphones were sluggish, and it's all caused by this app.
We asked you last week if you still felt excitement when the Google Pixel 3a and 3a XLphones were announced in the flesh, or whether all the leaks building up to them somewhat took it away despite the excellent value-for-money ratio. The Pixel 3a models run Android 9.0 Pie on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 CPU with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. It seems that the app slows some of the OS capabilities.
Tested on a fresh Pixel 3a that was supplied to Brinkwire for review, we didn't notice any immediate changes after disabling the feature - an experience shared with some Reddit commenters - although a considerable number of replies to the thread indicate significant boosts in speed for other handsets in the Pixel lineup. From here, select Digital Wellbeing and flip the slider titled "Permit usage access" to off.
While there were no huge announcements about this at Google I/O, google has been low-key developing a desktop mode for Android devices, which indicates that they're taking this feature seriously. No, that honor goes to the upcoming Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL that are expected to be released later this year in October.
Google hasn't commented about the issue but the reports appear genuine, giving owners a very good reason to disable this feature regardless of how useful it may be.
