Akshay Kumar tweets photo with PM Modi, reveals what made NaMo smile

Akshay Kumar meets Narendra Modi talks about his film based on the Swacch Bharat campaign Toilet Ek Prem Katha

The 49-year-old actor took to Twitter and shared a photo of his meeting with PM Modi where both of them can be seen indulging in a rather thoughtful conversation.

Coming "fresh" from winning the national award Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar, who is on a new venture in his upcoming movie "Toilet: Ek Prem Katha" recently met Prime Minister Narendra Modi as part of his film promotions. The film deals with the menace of open defecation and the idea of bringing a change in the country.

While Akshay's fans are anticipating a quirky film from the star, it seems the star is up with another social message, this time along the lines of the PM's "Swachch Bharat Abhiyaan". But the film's dialogue writers Siddharth Singh and Garima Wahal told IANS that the movie was conceptualised much before Modi became the PM. "Akshay Kumar's future films titles- SurgicalStrick, SabkaSathSabkaVikas, DigitalIndia, MannKiBaat, 56InchKaSeena, ChaiWala, NoteBandi". I got a good script.

What was also striking about the photograph was that, unlike many of his contemporaries, Akshay Kumar never makes an attempt to hide his age.

Talking about her role in the film, Sana said: "I am only doing a special appearance to be precise..."

Toilet: Ek Prem Katha will clash against Shah Rukh Khan's untitled project on August 11. The actor was keen to talk to Modi about Toilet- Ek Prem Katha because it is inspired from the PM's Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
