The average cost to the subscriber for wireless data in 2014 was Rs 269 per GB and Rs 226 per GB in 2015.

Every operator has add-on packs for recharge/IUC so you can opt for that depending on the number of minutes of talk-time you want. They also offer 100 free text messages per day. The increase in tariff ranges from 50 paise per day to Rs 2.85 per day.

The annual plan of Rs 998 that offered unlimited calls, 3600 SMS and 12GB data has been revised to Rs 1498 with 24GB data and additional benefits. The Rs 249, Rs 299 and Rs 399 plans offer 1.5GB, 2GB and 3GB of data per day, respectively.

In the September quarter, Bharti Airtel and Vodafone Idea together posted highest loss of more than Rs. 75,000 crore.

In all the above-mentioned plans, the Jio Rs 599 is the best value for money plan in comparison. Packs which currently cost Rs 448 and 499 for 82 days would now cost Rs 598 and Rs 698 for 84 days. All three plans come with FUP of 3,000 minutes for off-net calls.

The Rs 249 worth pack which offered unlimited calls, 100 SMS and 2GB data per day would cost Rs 298, said the statement. Jio according to the 6 November the new All-in-one plan would submit. Both plans come with 12,000 minutes for off-net calls.
